I asked our neighborhood Facebook page for the name of a seamstress that could help me our. Rachel was mentioned several times so I reached out to her. She was extremely accommodating and came to our house to pin up the hems. We had the dresses back within a couple of weeks. I was recently referred to Rachel at Mend Sew-and-Sew when the lady I originally contacted did not think she would be able to handle the project I described to her. Thankfully and fortunately, she referred me to Rachel. My Dad passed away recently and I wanted 3 separate pillows made out of favorite garments (sweater, hoodie, and shirts) he wore. From the time I originally spoke with Rachel until I had the pillows in my hands was exactly 3 weeks. That included showing her the garments, mailing her the garments (US mail), her making the pillows, and mailing them back to me (US mail), with a holiday added in. She gave me pricing options (different sized pillows, removable cover or not, zipper or no zipper.) She asked me questions and offered suggestions to make sure the pillows turned out exactly like I wanted. Again, she is very knowledgeable. She kept me informed throughout the entire process. Although I did not really have a timeline, she turned them around really quickly. I was so excited. She did a phenomenal job! I would definitely use her again for any sewing project. I think she would be able to make anything—she’s very talented. I highly recommend her. If I were rating my experience with on a star system she’d definitely get five stars in all categories!”
